Terms of Service

By using appapprove.com or any service operated by AppApprove ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service is in public beta. Features may change, break, or be removed. We aim for stability but make no uptime guarantees during beta.

AppApprove provides automated compliance checks and (eventually) release-pipeline tooling for Shopify App developers. The free pre-submission checker runs heuristic and AI-based audits against common Shopify App Store rejection patterns and returns a report.

The report is informational. It does not guarantee acceptance into the Shopify App Store. Final acceptance decisions are made by Shopify, not by AppApprove.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any content you submit (app URLs, source code, listing copy, shopify.app.toml, etc.). Do not submit content that infringes third-party rights, contains malware, or violates any law.

By submitting content, you grant AppApprove a limited license to process it for the purpose of generating your report. We do not retain check inputs in durable storage (see Privacy Policy).

You agree not to:

• circumvent rate limits or other access controls
• scrape, mirror, or resell the Service or its outputs
• probe, attack, or attempt to reverse-engineer the Service in ways that disrupt operation
• submit malicious URLs, source code containing malware, or content intended to attack other systems
• use the Service to harass, defame, or harm others

AppApprove branding, content, and code are owned by us or our licensors. The compliance rule definitions, check engine, and report templates are our proprietary work product.

You retain ownership of content you submit. Reports generated for you are yours to use, share, and act on as you see fit.

The Service uses Google's Gemini API for AI-powered listing-copy review and Resend for email delivery. Your use of these features is also subject to those providers' terms.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. APPAPPROVE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ALL DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.

REPORTS ARE BEST-EFFORT HEURISTICS. SHOPIFY MAY REJECT APPS THAT PASS OUR CHECKS, AND MAY ACCEPT APPS THAT FAIL THEM. USE THE REPORT AS GUIDANCE, NOT AS A GUARANTEE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, APPAPPROVE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR €100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to us, other users, or third parties.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Germany, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence apply.

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated via the email associated with your waitlist signup, where applicable. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance.
