Do I need to know how to code?
No. You describe what you want in plain English ("give wholesale customers 10% off") and we generate the Shopify Function for you. The install is a single button click in your Shopify admin.
Will this work on my Shopify plan?
Shopify Functions are available on every Shopify plan from Basic upward (and on Shopify Plus). If your store is on Starter or Lite, talk to us — we can usually find a path.
What if the Function breaks during a sale?
Every Function we generate is built to fail open — if something unexpected happens, your store keeps running normally without the customisation. You'll never see a checkout outage caused by AppApprove.
Do I have to install an app from the Shopify App Store?
No. We use Shopify's Custom Distribution flow, which means your Function is installed privately into your store — no public listing, no review delays. You get a private install link the moment your Function is ready.
What if the Function I want isn't one of your 5 recipes?
Start a chat with us. We're actively expanding the recipe catalog based on what merchants ask for. If your problem fits the Shopify Function model, we'll add it.
What happens if I cancel?
Your installed Functions keep running until you uninstall them yourself. We hold onto your generated code for 30 days after cancellation in case you change your mind, then we delete it.
Is my customer or order data safe?
Yes. The Functions we generate run inside Shopify's own sandbox — your cart and customer data never leaves your Shopify environment. AppApprove never sees what your shoppers buy.
Why does the Free tier only let me preview?
